Originally from Sydney, Australia, I came to the States when I married my American husband overseas back in the 80's.  I have always been a true seeker of knowledge and when

I had the most wonderful life changing Reiki experience while traveling overseas with my cousin Jackie, who is a Master Reiki Practitioner, I knew this was something I needed to learn. It opened my eyes to the wonders of Reiki which has led me to starting my own Reiki and Energy Healing  Practice. I am so passionate about what Reiki and Energy Healing can do, I want to share it with as many people as I can.

Here's an excerpt from an article I wrote about Reiki:

"Bringing Reiki into Everyday Consciousness"

Even though Reiki has been around for a long time and is becoming a little more popular, it is still not a well-known alternative healing modality.

Reiki is a powerful Japanese spiritual healing system and has been around for thousands of years. It was re-discovered in Japan in 1922 by Mikao Usui and then brought to the west in 1937 by Mrs. Hawayo Takata.

Reiki’s history is like a rich and colorful tapestry that weaves together stories of the Great Reiki Masters and how they developed Reiki and spread it around the world. Reiki is popular in India, Thailand and many other countries.

Much like meditation, those who have experienced Reiki feel more grounded, calmer, and have a general sense of well-being. Physiologically our breath slows, the heart rate slows, muscle tension decreases and stress hormones are lowered. Although scientists know these phenomena occur, they can’t say why it works. All they know is that it DOES work. The benefits of Reiki are acknowledged in many hospitals around the U.S. and the world. I trained with a Shock-Trauma nurse and a Pediatrics nurse who brought Reiki back to their hospitals in order to teach it to their staff and colleagues where they have seen it calm and significantly reduce the stress in their patients.

  • Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that promotes balance.

  • Reiki is lot like meditation.

  • It is a complementary companion to traditional medicine.

  • It’s easy to learn

  • It promotes positive well-being

This is what Reiki is not:

  • It is not a religion.

  • It is not a “cure” for illness.

  • It is not a substitute for medical treatments

There are so many multi-dimensional benefits of Reiki, which include relieving daily and accumulated stress, calming babies to the elderly and everyone in between and speeding up healing time. It can be used to calm animals and help plants grow and flourish, and it can leave people with a positive sense of well-being.

Training

I trained and became certified in Reiki Levels I and II at Howard Community College in 2011. I furthered my training with the International Center for Reiki Training where I was awarded Reiki Master Level certification. I am also certified in Advanced Reiki Training and Master Level Teacher Training, and a Certified and Registered Holy Fire Karuna (R) Master Teacher Practitioner. I am a recognized Reiki Master Practitioner and a Professional member of ICRT and IARP.

I am also a certified Kundalini Reiki Master and trained Teacher.

I am a certified Sacred Childbirth and Rebirth With Reiki (TM) Practitioner.

I work with people from all walks of life, and I enjoy hearing about the positive effects a Reiki session has on them, especially the deep relaxation and calm they feel. My passion is to spread awareness and teach about the positive effects and benefits of Reiki, and what a powerful life tool it is.

I am also certified in Angel Therapy Healing and Crystal Therapy healing

with the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine, UK.

I am also a Forensic Healing certified practitioner. Forensic Healing is another powerful healing modality that focuses on understanding why we behave in certain ways that may be damaging or unhealthy.  We use your energy to find out where we need to focus and then do a healing around it.

I have attended many courses on the ancient healing arts of Native American and Andean Shamanism and have since become a Shamanic Practitioner.

I received my Masters Degree in Metaphysical Sciences in early 2023 and am now a certified Spiritual Counselor.
